This paper discusses the application of cloud-based simulation in the early stages of an HVAC and building design process. Its goal is to show the benefits of the technology through a thermal comfort case study. The simulation was run in a standard web browser, using the cloud-based simulation platform, SimScale. Its results demonstrate the value that SaaS-based simulation has in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry.en_US
