In this work monolithic adsorbents containing polyethyleneimine (PEI) and multiwalled carbon nanotubes obtained by 3D printing. CO2 and N2 isotherms were measured using a commercial volumetric apparatus. Breakthrough experiments were carried out with a synthetic flue gas containing 15% CO2 and the rest N2. The information was used to simulate and optimize a 6-step Vacuum swing Adsorption (VSA) cycle for postcombustion CO2 capture from a flue gas stream containing 15% CO2 and 85% N2. Detailed process optimization revealed that it was indeed possible to achieve 95% CO2 purity and 90% CO2 recovery targets.en_US
