This report presents overview and state-of-the-art on industrial energy storage in industries. The report presents an overview of energy-storage technologies suitable for integration in industrial production and manufacturing processes. Furthermore, we present and compare motivations for storing energy both between and within individual plants. Applications of the existing technologies are presented, both commercial and pilot projects. Finally, we discuss current barriers, and means of accelerating the industry's deployment of energy storage.en_US
