dc.description.abstractIn this paper we model the performance of a PEM-based CHP system. Such a system represents the first layout under investigation within the AutoRe project, which aims at developing an automotive derivative CHP stationary system based on PEM fuel cells with an electrical power in the range 50 kW - 100 kW. The CHP system is fed with natural gas (NG). The model is developed in Aspen-plus with proprietary Fortran codes for the FC and the PSA. Two configurations are studied: with one and with two fuel cell stacks. The performance is presented in terms of electric and thermal power outputs and efficiencies.en_US
