E is a multi-disciplinary research project addressing trust management. The research objectives include the development of a methodology for the capture and analysis of policies for security and trust management, the development of a methodology for legal risk analysis to ensure trust, as well as the development of a language suitable for the specification of trust management policies. This report documents the ENFORCE conceptual framework for trust management by clarifying the notion of trust and related notions, and by defining the relations between them.
